Tania Kottoor is a first-generation Indian-American, a creative visionary, and the design-forward Founder and CEO of the purpose-driven brand WEST X EAST.

Tania has effectively married craftsmanship with innovation. She has led her team in building the world’s first AI-tailored cultural clothing brand and re-imagined the process of shopping for weddings and special events.

Through Tania’s guidance, WEST X EAST has produced over 1,500 custom and made-to-measure garments featured in numerous publications like BRIDES, Brides Today India, and Over The Moon by Vogue.

After receiving a double degree in business at Saint Louis University, she then attended the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design and was selected as one of their next leaders of luxury fashion. After graduating, Tania entered the fashion world by storm by helping small fashion labels grow to the next level, one of which is now sold in Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and REVOLVE.

In 2020, Tania conceptualized, designed, and produced 75 custom outfits in Antigua, Guatemala for an award-winning wedding.

Tania is the 2024 Brooks Brothers Gold Prize Winner. She has immersed herself and her brand in the startup ecosystem allowed her to participate in multiple accelerator programs and fellowships, including Tory Burch and Vital Voices fellowships. She has won over $150K worth of grant money from pitch competitions.

Tania’s mission is to elevate cultural expression. She attributes her success to her mantra “build meaningful relationships and always ask for introductions.”
